  1. "It's a damn good read."  Was the first comment I got about the book from anybody and I'm glad it was a friend.  I'd expected a less than convincing "well is not bad but ...."  Frankly it was a great experience writing it and if readers get even half as much pleasure as I did in the writing well it's been worth while. Each day was a bit of an adventure really because I couldn't wait to find out what happened next.  Research was also very interesting from forensics, marine biology to on the beat police work.  I was bowled over but the willingness of people to help and share their knowledge and experience and I am very grateful to them all.  The story in brief:-

Grant was tackling a long-standing sexual addiction and his treatment at the Katychmar clinic was going well.  Looking forward to his first date with Violet he was torn by guilt over his girlfriend's mysterious disappearance.  Everything in his life balanced on the edge and now Ron Whinsper and his brothers would tip him into the maelstrom and offer him up as bait to the police.

DCI Cosey knew about the rumours but proving what went on behind the rusty galvanised gates of The Whinspers' Empire was going to be quite a different matter.  His instinct was to work late but Diane just turned up after all these years.  Maybe he wasn’t destined to join the ranks of officers whose personal lives had been sacrificed for their job.

The story is easy to read.  Both sex and violence are explicit without being gratuitous.  Be prepared to be carried along by it and don’t to read it on the train or you'll miss your stop.

Let me know what you think.

    Regards

    Adam
