Orignally born and raised in Birmingham he graduated in Fine Art at Leeds Polytechnic and after a brief spell as a Fashion Designer he went into advertising.  After eight years he finally found a more satisfying career direction and entered the teaching profession. It was during this time that he renew his interest in music and joined up with Wilf Rees and Roger Scholfield to form a successful band on the local pub and club circuit under the name of Meal Ticket. Meal Ticket disbanded in 1983 and Adam focused on writing his own material and developing a teaching career. In 1999 Adam survived cancer thanks to the expertise of Martin Telfor and his team at the York Hospital. This life changing experience focused his attention once again on the music. 'Suck it and See' 2005 In January 2008 Adam put together a band under the name Red Earth and played their first gig of the year in May at the White Bear Music festival in Masham. |
